The DCD996 18V XR Brushless Combi Drillis the second generation brushless Combi drill from DEWALT. The New DCD996 ishighly efficient motor offers 26% more power than the DCD996 (firstgeneration). The improved motor design has increased running efficiencyresulting in 43% faster speed of application and the enhanced airflow designallows the motor to run at a lower operating temperature.

DeWalt has secured the airflow to thismotor, keeping it well cooled and at the top of its performance. The betteredautomatic high-speed gear increases masonry drilling results. The treblegearbox gives you ultimate control over BPM and RPM.

The DCD996’s lightweight, ergonomicdesign, combined with the 3 variable speed settings gives you more accuratecontrol. For example, in gear three while in hammer mode you’ll have 38,250blows per minute while the chuck spins at 2,250rpm. The DCD996 Hammer Drillalso produces 19% more torque.

Moreover, the integrated LED has amaximum brightness of 60 lumens, enough to light up a huge workspace, enablingwork in almost any environment.
